What the service is
It reads public records from Companies House and The Gazette and gives a plain verdict about a UK company. It is free to use for now.
Not advice
The verdict is information, not financial or legal advice. It is based on public records at the time of the check, which can be late, incomplete or wrong. A clean record does not prove a business is honest or that its work is good. You decide who to pay, and you are responsible for that decision.
No guarantee
The service is provided as it is. It may be unavailable at times, and Companies House or The Gazette may be unreachable. Where the law allows, Shaun Owen is not liable for any loss arising from use of the service or from relying on a verdict.
Fair use
Don't use the service to overload it, to copy the registers in bulk, or for anything unlawful. Access can be limited or withdrawn to protect the service.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the foot of this page shows the latest version.
